NaPoWriMo Day #05 – My First Textu

I only heard of  a ‘Textu’ a couple of days ago, thanks to a fellow poet attempting NaPoWriMo who  has a blog called mostlynocturnalscribbler on WordPress.

Apparently…”The form rule is it must be 160 characters long, creating a poem that is defined by character count, not syllable”.

So here is my go:

“Poems are the first texts”,
Carol Ann Duffy said.
If Shakespeare had an iPhone,
if Browning had a Blackberry,
then all the sonnets and
dramatic verse would have instead
been a simple ‘I luv u’.
